I think a big role was played by countries that are constantly trying to ban bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. People start to panic, selling the crypto from which the price falls. If people were less prone to panic, we would not see such a drop in the price of bitcoin.

It is one of the major factor that is being felt by those countries citizens that their country might banned this so they want to stay away from this till government actually get it legalized or bring some sort of framework where they would not be harassed on purchase of this virtual currency.
