I think the best way to overcome "Depression" is Prayer . Tell to God how you feel and do not look in negative things just look in a positive things. Always remember that every happen for a reason or it will bring you lesson.

Again.. I don't know why so many of these ultra-religious nuts are popping up here recently. Prayer is not the answer to each and everyone of your problems. If you don't want to get depressed, then be happy and interact with your friends and relatives often. If you still face issues, then take medications.
