You are right that no one would take off the crown since bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that has been created, but if most of the investors will focus on a different coin then there is a huge chance for another altcoin to rise above bitcoin.

No one is going to take the crown away from Bitcoins because their coins are more or less the same as Bitcoins. That's why when Bitcoins goes down, they all seem to follow suit as well.
