Not only is that an intake, but reversing teh fan would only make things worse, with PS sucking in the hot exhaust. If the intake on the side is blocked off by rack walls (it isn't, most racks don't block the sides), so would the exhaust Cheesy

No. Simon and I have talked specifically about this. Those are exhaust openings in the sides. In fact, one has to make provisions for this in their rack selection.
