Seeing a doctor or seeking professional help is a good idea and you'll learn on how deal with addiction. But sometimes, gamblers are also hard headed that don't follow the prescription and advise of the doctor. He needs to discipline himself and that's not going to be an easy part. What he must do is to set a plan and make that plan into goals so that he will be encouraged of doing others things just to avoid gambling.

In my opinion, you better tell your family first about it. Wanting to leave gambling is not that easy if you are really addicted on it. Your family will help, encourage,and support you to look for someone professional in that case. Or go to your dearest someone/most trusted person to help you in your situation. Because i merely believe that if you value someone or your family is really important to you can stop it.

Actually i know someone who is really addicted in gambling but still he made it to the right path in life.

Others aren't seriously looking at the picture that leaving gambling isn't an easy thing. It's actually a challenge to us, gamblers who really want to get out it. Our family will play an important role for us to become encouraged and out to leave gambling. Just divert your attention on some other things so that it will help you to attain the right thing to do.
