Yes i agree with you, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies and however ethereum is just copy cat of bitcoin with some new feature are like smart contract and decentralize application (dapps) of course include scaling and security problem too. Cheesy

if we know ethereum be used for payment on the most ICO but doesn't mean it will overtake the bitcoin.

Yeah it is but everything about the crypto world is unpredictable and there are just so few we can imagine, knowing that what is meant to happen, will happen eventually. I am not sure bitcoin will remain stagnant, and a lot of progress is going on which would make bitcoin usable as currency but for now, it would be a hard time for any currency to overtake bitcoin, but nothing is easy in the world of crypto.

Yes everything can be happen in cryptos coins world including ethereum can overtake the bitcoin, but i don't think it will happen at least for today due to on ethereum's platform still there are the weakness on there, it will makes difficult for ethereum to switch from proof of work to proof of stake PoS, but let's wait and see what will be done by developers of team.
