Genes doesnt run in the blood when we talk about gambling because gambling it is not a disease or insanity. It will always be depend on how we raise our child and the sorrounding that we allow them to see as they grow up. Well, if we let our child/children that gambling is like a normal thing and that there is no wrong about it. Then definitely our children will do the same. Always remember that the childs brain is more smarter than us adults. So be a responsible parents if we want to raise a child that can make us proud.

That is exactly fine. Definitely this isnt a disease that can be transferred from one person to another. While yes, if the father is gambling and his son knows that my father is just gambling and losing money every day. But someday if he is there in gambling, and father gets a win by chance. That was an addition to little money and now they got handsome money luckily, this child would be confident to gambling.
