can't use putty if the machine won't come up on the network due to deleted critical files. And since the USB has been disabled...the number of choices is sort of whittled down. Best solution is to, of course, not delete the files in the first place Wink

It has nothing to do with the BFG or "improved" cgminer..it's that some people have been deleting these files (apparently) on the advice of other people for some reason. Advice given (if I were a cynical person) hoping that people would disable their own machines thus eliminate some competition.

I said it before and I'll reiterate it here: If someone's not comfortable in the linux command line, s/he shouldn't be logging onto these devices except through direction of knc support. Bad things can happen in a hurry as root if you are not careful..there is no "are you sure?" dialog that pops up when you delete stuff.

The pin header is described in the manual. Like Koen Kooi says, it is not technically bricked, but to put it in laymans tems: it does not work.
