Bad and terrible experiences you had went through should not be the basis that you will loose confidence with bitcoin. First, inorder to minimize mistakes I think you should learn and understand more about bitcoin and how it works. Because bitcoin is volatile in nature, you must have to consider that when you put up investment, there is already a corresponding risk in it. By any chance, bitcoin will suffer a bear dip, don't panic as this is the common mistake for everyone in this field where they are selling their coins into a much lesser value.
