Can someone look into this and see what I did to cause a ban?
It was locked...
"This user's password was reset recently." "This user's email address was changed recently." and probably because of these two reasons...
Just to make it clear for the OP, a normal password & email change doesn't lead to this but instead "
recovering the account using the secret question, is its cause".

So does this mean there is simply a "reset" or "cool-down period," or is this an actual ban? If so, how do I get unbanned for simply changing my email address and password?

Thank you very much for the help, I've been around for a while, but did not know that using the secret question locked the account. I must have missed that PSA somehow.
The word "banned" jumped out at me more than "locked" did, so I was thinking the worst!
I have followed the steps and submitted the unlock request and requested info via email and PM as the quoted thread suggested. Hopefully it will be sorted out!
