Actually the thing is bitcoin still stands a chance to overcome the alts. have you ever read or heard about the BTC dominance in the CMC or somewhere? Do you know how much it is ! Its around 37% dominance , and I am sure its earned one not just coming out of imagination.

Thats the best thing that can explain the whole scenario. So I am pretty sure altcoin will be in the second position all the time.

Also altcoin are things, which come and go all the time leaving behind those few which are at the top! But surely they cant take down the BTC at all.

while you are right in saying bitcoin earned its dominance and rank and superior than altcoins , but it is true only if we rank them in terms of reliability and popularity .

but if we rank them in terms of profitability and scope then altcoins will win , not all alts , but there are many alts which do not dominate even 1% of total marketcap and best projects , for example Fusion , it marketcap is just 0.1% of total market cap , so investment in this coin will give me much more return than btc which already dominate 40% mcap .

I think Altcoin is indeed better than bitcoin because with altcoin there are indeed many choices to invest in Altcoin and by this time many people have invested in Bitcoin and are waiting for the price of bitcoin to return because altcoin always follows the movement of bitcoin
