It does not matter if 95% of the population knows about Bitcoin already. It's always good for people in the public eye to mention Cryptocurrencies so that, eventually, it will reach that 5% who did not know about it before.

Kanye West does have a huge following, so it could reach quite far in his following. Katy Perry is also a ginormous supporter of Bitcoin!
