Because your DNS provider sucks and doesn't resolve the hostname to a proper IP address.
Use CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 public DNS servers and you should be fine.

Thanks for both of you, it resolved my problem. I had 4 days without connection to miningpoolhub, had to change pool for crypto.

Yeah I did that on my mate's rig that was having problems. Works now, so thanks for the tips.

Still wondering why it's causing such issues. Switching DNS provider didn't solve the problem on its own. Had to use one of the ip's as well. Roll Eyes
