It's understandable. There are a$$holes all over the internet that are more than willing to take another's generosity for granted! Thanks everyone for the help, encouragement and coupons. I'm really not much of a forum poster because I'd rather sift/search through the thread than ask direct questions (I learn more that way!) and I'm not yet very knowledgeable to be helpful. But I'll definitely let you know when these new miners start ramping up! No more coupons needed, my order has been placed!
Kudos and yer 1st Merit for knowing how to Learn with a capital 'L'.
http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hello/salute-smiley-emoticon.gifToo many folks come here and ask things that have been previously answered, often in great detail, countless times already. Even a decently worded Google search usually will pin-point the relevant posts here.
Personally, when giving help I use the 'Teach a person to fish vs giving them a fish' approach. As you said, learning the 'how and why' is far more helpful than just a 'do this'.
To play devils advocate. The fact that so many questions are answered numerous times is proof of the exceptional community surrounding Kano Pool and the willingness of members to help others.
This is what is touted as one of the greatest positives of this pool. The community and that Kano himself will take time to explain how the pool works.
You're either helpful or you're a bunch of d1cks that say "Google it." Personally, I like the helpful non-pompous approach. Kind of refreshing for a newb.
Edit: and to add, hopefully some of us newer members, as we learn, can step in and help others that our just joining as well. The circle of life completes itself.
