It could be anything really, right? That's the point. There are innumerable legal reasons why someone may no be able to disclose information. Jumping to the conclusion that it is shady, is unwarranted and purely speculative.

Bringing up NDAs is an invitation for pointless speculation. So is making an announcement which amounts to "We wanted to tell you that we can't tell you anything."

Come on girls, there's no need for this back and forth bitching competition.

By the way crumbs it would be correct to say 'a NDA' or 'the NDA' but not 'You're the first one to mention NDA.'. It's simply far from correct use of grammar.
