On the opposite site Steem is doing much better, I.e its fiat price will go down with plunge in btc but it is at least maintaining its btc value.

It's better rather than going down when all other coin prices are going up.

Agree. Aside from getting small proportions, not all participants are selling their GBYTES right away.
