There is no way this hits larger exchanges if the order books are dry and volume is completely negligible. Why would a larger exchange include them then?

yes its probably less marketing for this coin, and positive news stories to attract whales so better bigger exchanges could encourage enthusiasts and make famous coins

Whales usually focus on the technology. You can rarely convince them with clever marketing or hype. They do their due diligence very thoroughly on the tech side of things.
