I am following everyone on here personally myself but I can't answer for the group, as for the idea I think it's half and half. It's not how many followers you have but the quality of your post that determines how much you can earn. It's like all other systems there are those that have influence and it is those that your are trying to impress with your post so you can earn more!

I agree with you. Good ideas and quality of work are key ingredients to earn anywhere. I'm in "understanding" phase, "earning phase" has yet to come. No rush. Right now just enjoying steemit.
