With more efficient hardware coming daily, old equipment become worthless. Its very hard to achieve ROI from mining.

If Hashflare wants to come back to life, they may mine other cryptocurrencies which give more reward for same hashrate, and keep changing the currency they mine to maximise the profit.

For sure you are correct, a few months ago i did calculations on my hashrate and what BTC price that was needed to come back to the levels at the high, and at that point it was 45 000 usd per BTC, now its more or less 60k USD, i dont see that coming anytime soon.
