Two days ago when I sent a few Mbits it got confirmed in the first block and when I looked at the blocks none of the last 10 where full. I saw a lot of txs with less than 1 satoshi per byte.

Bitcoin is using more, but I have no idea that World Cup can make a huge boost to Bitcoin. That's not what it is.

The "hotels" is actually a "hotel", which is not really a hotel but a block of flats where you can rent a flat, just like Airbnb, no restaurant, no cleaning service, cheap as hell, I see the prices are at around 70 euros for 2 nights.
