Yes, sadly many people decided to take advantage of naive people wanting to make quick money after arriving late in the crypto world...
Only a shinny website with a whitepaper full of fancy words and the after ICO nothing...

It's unrealistic to state though that this is special to crypto. It's everywhere. People sell boxes with stones in their on eBay. Scammers will be around anywhere.
