Yes they are totally doing wrong because bitcoin is really a safe and secure investments and only those are afraid of it who are not aware of the bitcoin features properly but those who know the worth and power will never find it risky, bitcoin is risky for panic sellers and those who are greedy by nature so that they sell it for panic to get quicker and higher profit.
