I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. Yes, It is true. I think bitcoin is an asset, and it's hard to call it currency.
Since the currency will be widely used, and bitcoin is hard to use on a large scale right now, I hope the lightning network can change everything. I believe It will happen soon.

No, bitcoin is a currency first and foremost, the fact that is not accepted globally is irrelevant, bitcoin fulfills all the necessary conditions to be a currency, it is a unit of account, its fungible, durable, interchangeable and a store of value, and not only that it has even greater characteristics that makes it better than any currency that came before it.
