I think bitcoin will be a means of payment in the future because it can simplify all transactions with coverage of the world. However, it is too optimistic to say bitcoin is the primary means of payment, because anyway paper or fiat will remain the main ones.

Yes.Bitcoin cannot compete totally from fiat currency since majority of the people in the world are still into using fiat.But looking bitcoin's advantages,having the first decentralized currency and the most efficient,fast and trusted digital currency by the people,then hopefully it will considered a global currency in the future.
