Hello, chrysophylax. Thank you for your attention for this question. Its not new for CryptoCommunity use tickers with similar names for different coins. I see example of Bitcoin Cash, that trades on different exchanges under different tickers like BCC and BCH, but in both ways its Bitcoin Cash and users knows about it. As we mentioned, that we respect your right to use GRN ticker on that exchanges, where you prefer.
Unfortunately we do not have reasons to respect your position as CryptoCommunity member and I explain why:
chrysophylax, we respect your history to use ticker GRN for more than 5 years. We positioned our GreenCoin as an original chain with own philosophy and its not trying to make a copy of GraniteCoin. GRN is just an abbreviation from word GREEN, that contains only consonant letters. We have a social product and social environmental ideas. We like Crypto and Open Source community and would like to have a chance to make something really matters for clean space around us. Thats why leave a right for us to use GRN ticker on exchanges, where your team do not list your coin.

The project you have started seems to be a nice one, but you have one major flaw - the ticker.
granite has been around for about 5 YEARS now and we (ChainWorks Industries Pty Ltd) have had the project as one of our projects in our arsenal of coins.
I kindly suggest that you look at using a different ticker, and also kindly suggest that you do a little bit of research with regards to the use of existing tickers and names as well. As you have already settled on the name, please refrain the use of the GRN ticker, as it has been the ticker for 'GraniteCoin' when it first came out and 'granite' since development continued. We have the rights to this, and would appreciate you change it promptly with a cease and desist request.
We ask this respectfully, and would like to take this no further than this. Please do not disregard this request as it would not lead to any useful outcome.

So you use the word 'respect' many times over in your response, yet proceed with the presence you have, showing nothing less than DISrespect for veterans and long term CryptoIndustry providers and Consumers like us.
This shows only two things here ...
1 - the GRN ticker (no matter what you wish to call it - it IS a ticker) belongs to granite (GRN) and has done so for the last 5YEARS!
2 - the LACK of respect that you have deems this project to doom, no matter how talented your 'team' is, because if you cannot respect the veterans of this community, then you cannot respect the CryptoCommunity itself, let alone think up of your OWN ticker symbol for your coin. Seriously? You need to copy ours?
You seem to have some form of intelligence and coding prowess, but almost no respect when it comes to building a project that is UNIQUE and NOT based on someone elses base work - like using OUR ticker for granite. So we will see what comes of this, and becomes of you, as the pools and those that support you, also show the same malice towards the disrespect you show to us AND to the community at large because you cannot seem to com up with your OWN ticker. What is actually amazing is that ANYONE that follow you and are informed of this malicious practice of yours, are also going to be burned by the course of action you are taking.
Instead of working together, you have now made sure we are working against each other.

I personally shall not forget this and will continue to work against all you are doing with the use of 'GRN', a ticker and code that we have been establishing and using for the last 5 years. - You do not mentioned your respect to our environmental project and ideas, just write, that it nice
- Our opinion, that you cannot require from us change ticker, because you are not have authorship rights nor for Latin characters, nor for GREEN colour, nor for GRN as its abbreviation, that contains only consonant characters, nor for G symbol, as a start of wallets addresses.
- Your position less like a member of Open Source Community or a holder of Crypto ideas of Satoshi, that provide to community this great code (I think he will be not against even if we get ticker BTC, if it have abbreviation from Green

Your response, once again, has reaffirmed my post and position ...
You CANNOT know what backing we could do (and have done) when you disrespect other people and COMPANIES positions in the industry, when you initially and consistently 'step on their toes' in such a fashion that you gleefully rub your hands together in such a way as you do. Therefore, there was NEVER any issue with ANY sort of support for your project except for the fact that you continue along your path. We have the resources AND commitment to do what needs to be done, in order to either back, or oppose, any of the projects we deem to be WORTH the look. Your attitude shows we have no choice to but to oppose, no matter what.
Again, your course of action PROVES what I have previously posted, PROVES what I have stated, and PROVES that your project is (simply put) a great idea, but run by a group of disrespectful people that have no intention on changing stance in way, so that YOU could fulfill your goals that YOU have set WITHOUT contention to what issues could be in future.
Your obvious limited understanding of this is beyond me, but there it is. A simple issue in question that you refuse to budge from. What happens when you try and get into Cryptopia with GRN? What happens when you try and setup in CryptoID with GRN? What happens when you try and get into most other platforms (apart from the unscrupulous pools that have already setup WITH you - that obviously have the same level of disrespect as you do) while OUR own coin granite GRN is already in place and has been for years? What then?
Without sounding like complete imbeciles, PLEASE look at what you are writing in response to me and show SOME resemblance to intelligence and understanding of the current issue at hand. Especially future issues.
Though as I reread your response, my hope of such things are moot, considering that you will continue along your path no matter what. This in turn SHOULD show the educated and moral among the people looking at this project with intent to join, reason to question your actual intention rather than the project goals.
Do not try and make out you are of a non-malicious standing when you know ALL TOO WELL that in future, this will cause issues for the both of us IF you maintain your stance on this subject. I am merely wanting to alleviate any of these future issues, by asking you to change the way you are going BEFORE these issues come to head, which will affect our projects in ways that SHOULD NOT BE.
WHEN this comes to head, you will need to suffer the consequences of your actions and the results of your stubbornness to budge from your (quite literally wrong) position.
As for your 'environmental stance' is concerned, what makes you different from the coin we are ALREADY affiliated with in more ways than just support, EverGreenCoin (EGC), just to name the main one? We support, back, and are partnered WITH this project that has been around for a LONG time before you have come along with your project, with goals that EGC have ALREADY achieved, on a legal level AND Crypto level. Do you really consider what you are doing legit in anyway, and STILL think that you are showing no disrespect to anyone?
