I think bitcoin can replace the role of fiat money in the existing model of transactions, but it will be very hard. Because the basic system of bitcoin and the conventional model of banking is different.

To sum it up all, we all dreamt of cryptocurrency replace banking or bitcoin can be an accepted national money but we all know that banks are irreplaceable because it holds the money of the countrie's citizens. don't get me wrong what I'm not saying that its impossible to happen, I'm just saying that banks are way way way more bigger deal than bitcoin.
