Exchange rumors effect their reputation very badly and companies should avoid them at all cost for a smooth functioning.

Hitbtc was once the Exchange has received a lot of support from investors but now it has been rejected by many investors because of bad news is reflected on Hitbtc. Without incentives to get back to Hitbtc, I think it could go away from the market.
