~snip~
Look how many users are in that list handing out a load of Merit to one or two accounts (clearly their alt(s)).
I smell lots of Merit abuse.
Some of such users already got the red trust. Anyway, investigation is necessary, I think.
So is it a good thing that I have slipped to 170 in the generosity ranking?
Yes, of course. It is a good thing. It seems that you slightly changed your merit distribution policy. Now you're rated 40th for generosity.
I think I resent the fact that I'm rated 82nd for generosity. Am I being penalised because i try to help more people with my awards?
I'm not sure what we have gained by publishing that list. Also, if it failed to detect me ( an admitted source ) then surely the analysis is flawed.
It seems that Coin-1's methodology failed to detect you (and other source members who were hero at the time of the implementation) because there is an assumption of 200 initial distribution s-merits, and heros only received up to 88 initial distribution s-merits (which Coin-1 acknowledged in a post subsequent to OP)... therefore, the generousity index is off in regards to those categories of merit source.. if that is the ultimate goal to inferentially establish merit sources.
You're right. In the beginning the analysis couldn't detect
Jet Cash as a merit source. Then I upgraded the algorithm and now even Jr. Member can be detected by the analysis. Later I created the new tables and edited my second and third posts on the first page.
