Wow, 45k Loki for a service node. I was really hoping it would be something around 10k. Going to price out a lot of smaller investors.

We are looking into Pooling for service nodes, at a protocol level, we're making some good progress.

There may be a way to split the cost/reward between a few people.

That is great news for those who are unable to purchase the initial 45,000 Loki's to operate a service node. I know many will be pleased once this pooling announcement becomes official. Good luck to the Loki team!

It is run offchain so they don't have a smart contract element. There will be a guide for a shared node set up. For now you can see the progress here: https://github.com/loki-project/loki/pull/101.
