The article is silly. It is confusing the current run-up in price due to adoption rates with the inherent deflationary characteristics of bitcoins. Don't use bitcoins to buy miners, if you are worried about the risk. I imagine sometime this year for the difficulty rise to tapper-off, the hashing efficiency can't continue to increase at the same rate.
