You can earn money with cryptocurrencies but that is not its main function and since it is likely you are talking about bounties I really think that we are reaching a saturation point, too many people are trying to earn money out of bounties and more scams are appearing which means that the share of legitimate projects to participate is going down and more people are just wasting their time getting tokens that have no value.

This is a standard function of market self-regulation. Participation in bounty campaigns becomes unprofitable and many people stop doing it. For greater distribution of crypto currencies, we need legalization of the market. If this happens, it will be a new development period for the crypto currency market.
