we have completely different algorithms for generating the address and the algorithm for calculating the checksum
if MHC was an ether-based token - you could find MHC addresses on the site etherscan.io
and see there balances in tokens

what are the main differences?

addresses of the ether with letters of different register is the checksum of the Kessak, and we use the address generation algorithm, like in bitcoin, excluding the last point with the base 58 and adding the child addresses about which will be written in YP

how does the MHC address get decoded?

the address itself is obtained from a public key using hashes
