Let's see first if the team is still following their road map and all their promises. I agree that being active and becoming popular is really important to a new project, the team must need to answers all queries and prove that they are really legit.

Being not active and remain silent in a couple of days could really affect the image of the project. By that investors and supporters will be hesitate to invest and support the project since they would not be able to update any information about what is the real status of the project.

Silence doesnt totally mean that the team already left the project. For me it means that they could be prepairing for something bigger and better for the project.

The team is not left. How can this thread still active if the team left the project? However, there is no reason for you also to tells that the team left.
