Here's a stupid question, why not just ASK the creator of Nyan if you can do this?
Premining a coin for "legal fees" in case you get sued because you couldn't spend 10 seconds doing a google search is just not logical.

http://www.prguitarman.com/contact.php. He may have just said yes. Wy not ask instead of using it as a weak justification to premine. Actually, nevermind, I think I know the answer.
By posting that in the opening, it's like waving a giant "PLEASE SUE US WE WILL SETTLE" sign at the creators. If they didn't do this, it's very unlikely that the creator will try to get anything off this coin but now that the dev have essentially promised payment I'd be surprised if the creator DOESN'T try to get his piece.
