Right now the only time I cash out is when I need to money to buy a gift or something.

Will i thinks the control is upon in your own decision on when is the right time you cash out or change some of your crypto into fiat money as long its necessary ,because in my own strategy i want to focus on how to grow more my investment,so that in the time thats i grow old i have an asset to inherit into the members of my family,therefore,in my own advice its better to focus your investment.

Cashing out will be always depending on the profit you earn, if you think that the amount is decent then cash out immediately because the price is changing so fast in the market due to volatility.
