The will to quit is always beaten by addiction. No matter how a person try, gambling addiction always win. They always think about the profit. For you to quit you need to have a stronger will and a thing that you think you'll get addicted like biking or playing online games, etc. You need to redirect your addiction in gambling into other things.

Take a break or quit on gambling is really hard to do, the only way to make you stay away from gambling is when you don't have money left on your pocket to gamble. I can stay without gambling anytime if i don't have money.

You are right, it is really hard but it could be too late when you don't have money left on your pocket, usually this type of people borrow money from someone and they also spend all of this money. For me, I can set up limit for myself so I can quit whenever I want.
