That's the most common scenery i've seen and keep repeating words i've heard after losing, but it was not followed after all. It is not easy to quit gambling, instead I came back to gamble again to gain again what I lost. Revenge is the correct term. After losing i don't think of quitting.
You won't think about quitting until you lose everything and after that you realize that you had to stop it earlier but no use if you realize it very later you will have nothing to do at that time.So when we loses our money then better to stop it completely or atleast for a while to regenerate our income to play again.
