Interesting. The "simple formula" part makes me a little nervous, but I guess since the results appear accurate to me (without really knowing anything about who is being compared, the formula, or how the stats are derived)... it must still be right! Cheesy

I am in the midst of the patent process for said formula but judging by the majority of commenters I'm sure its completely safe here. You're not going to be impressed. But the formula is this:

(Merit + 1) / Posts x Activity = Worthiness Score

I've found it doesn't work for certain categories of posters, but the average is about 100. I think I'll do a Meta thread about it eventually.
