It's almost obvious that in addition to global market manipulation that is going on there are a lot of net sellers in the world of ICO projects. That influences the markets the most and helps the bears to rule so easily. But regarding to Monero that can not be sustained for too long. As usually it will rise wild as it used to in unexpected time.  All we need is patience. I do not sell any single XMR before it goes to the moon. ICOs got more than 8 billion dollars just in the last quarter. They received them mostly in ETH and BTC. They had to sell some. No other options to operate especially in a downtrend. Soon we will have a lot of dead coins again and less options to invest for gain. Monero will be one of the few to survive.

agreed;
it seems that we are "digesting" the big 2017 ICOs, who have drained many newcomers and thus changed the landscape, without bringing much innovation.

No loss, they were not cypherpunks but get rich quick schemers. Anyone that joins these bitconnect type scams is an idiot and didn't do any due diligence and I have no sympathy for them and will not miss them. We warn them and if they don't listen then they make their own bed and when they are crying because they are lying in it hopefully that is when they will realize why they are there.

Interesting slide about the cryptocurrencies Bitmain claims to hold in the context of their IPO: https://twitter.com/Excellion/status/1028426579158884352

Monero isn't explicitly mentioned, although Bitmain probably used to mine monero with their Antminer X3 I think.

Perhaps off-topic here, but I think it's also interesting to point out that they acquired 179,450 BCC between 31-DEC-17 and 31-MAR-18. That's more than the total amount of bcc that have come into circulation in that period  Shocked

Here's a great article on it.

I'd love to see bitmain die, I bet they are mining and dumping XMR right now with the first batch of those hybrid FPGA's. And thats why everyone elses orders got pushed back.
