I haven't used a Wirex card much yet but I'll be annoyed if I load it for something specific only for it to be rejected. The Xapo card I used was pretty flaky, especially with airlines. When I rang up to check what was what they couldn't tell what type of card it was.

Nope, and it's a chain (Lidl). I've tried more shops from this chain and no luck. Even more interesting is that I was in other country at Lidl and there my card was accepted.
So it may be something about their software or the payment processor/bank..
