They're probably just counting all the stealth addresses used over a 24 hour period. Go figure, they're all unique.

I don't think so - the number of active addresses is actually six times higher than number of txs over last 24 hours. At least they're not making up a number for dollar value sent over the network in last 24 hours.

My guess is they are counting inputs and outputs. Inputs meaning ring signature inputs, so most are fake.
