The 3% that goes to charity isn't coming from the transaction. It's coming from the transaction fee.

For example, KuCoin has a 0.1% trading fee. So, 0.1% of the total transaction amount is taken as a fee, and 3% of that 0.1% fee goes to charity.

So does it mean you do have 0.1% trading fee too? 3% on that fee wont really be that big but you should answer the question below this one.

Im having the same question on what charity they are supporting so that we can able to check it out.
