I think that is the OP's driving point, scammers lead people to think that bitcoin is an investment of easy money. The OP is trying to explain how the risks has been dubiously concealed so that many others will be convinced to invest or significantly contribute.

And from there, people becomes too lax, not exerting crucial efforts to understand what they are getting themselves into. Sad, but it is a reality that people are easily blinded by the promise of good profit with minimal efforts.
