Yes it's true, that’s because of the blockchain technology, there are many new altcoins have created and those can push bitcoin’s price to be even higher, actually both are equally supportive to push the price of bitcoin
Altcoin helps push bitcoin to be more expensive and bitcoin becomes a price benchmark for altcoins.
