But sometimes those new coins have bigger pumps than any other coin from the top 20 or even top 50, there were lots of times when new coins had 100-1000% pump in very short time, so why not to take some risk and invest something in them.

Most people do not like to follow that strategy because even if the profits are great the losses are going to be incredible too and the chances that you lose your money are way bigger so at least to me it is not justified to invest in such coins especially if the size of your capital is big enough to invest in some of the best cryptocurrencies, those that are following the strategy that you are suggesting most of the time have a capital below 1000.
