I also agree with theymos's suggestion that 1 merit is not difficult to achieve for newbies, and personally, I believe that he might be being overly generous when he allows copper membership to bring most of the same benefits as jr member status (at least posting of images and such), but that seems to also be a kind of compromise that he has concluded to be reasonable based on his perception of the matter (which I am not going to second-guess that kind of discretionary matter because overall the whole package of these recently implemented changes seems fair to me - in spite of various whinings from mostly 0 merited accounts and some other low merited accounts, like yours, that seem to be inclined to make common cause with the 0 merited newbie accounts based on non-substantiated assertions of "unfairness." I'll admit its harder for Newbs to get merits than higher ranking ones, but 95% of all Newbs just post senseless trash, which ruins its for the actual 5% who might actually have something interesting to say. What? You're missing the entire point of the forum. Newcomers only come here because they mistakenly _think_ they can make a living spamming here. But they're wrong. They were always wrong. The recent changes were made to deter them from flooding the forum with useless posts so it can maintain its original intention as a place for communication.

Nobody's _forcing_ _anybody_ to spam. That's a ridiculous mindset to think they have to keep spamming the forum.

Why don't you work within the parameters that have already been established by the forum, Uesly_Future, and that is the existence and allowance of signature campaigns? You have about a snowball's chance in hell changing the choice, in this forum, to have signature campaigns, at least in the short term. You may need to create a new thread on the topic or at least find a thread in which that kind of proposal is being batted around.
