There are coins and companies that did some develop or do token burning whenever the price drops too much that will help to make the coins recover.

You are right but if the project is legit and their whitepapers doesn't include burning of tokens or anything like that it's not easy to do. If there is no this functions detailed and described that might be considered as manipulation, thus creating regulatoryy issues.
