No one is even saying they should not play for fun, but if we really want to be realistic with ourselves, just like the OP said, there is actually not much of a fun when it comes to online gambling and apparently, most people at some point will find out they are simply playing because of the money.

Of course, we may have some exceptions, but it would be rare. This is something we sure know can easily be seen as fun at least for those who are in a real casino.

Of course winning money in gambling is real fun and the purpose of gambling is this that you win some money and when you do this you will feel enjoyment and will be happy till the next lose.
Some people are looking for fun in online gambling but I think online gambling still has no fun and only the easy way for gambling. Online gambling is just a facility and not fun.

If you just wan to gamble for fun, you should never play online gambling, because online gambling is just a waste of time and money and there is no fun in online gambling. To enjoy gambling visit a regular casino and enjoy the whole night but never accede your gambling limits. Casinos are the permanent place for professional criminals.

Honestly, that is just one thing I believe is quite reasonable and I certainly understand the OP in this perspective as well as what you have said. I want to think the aspect of fun when it comes to gambling is just something a lot of people have placed to control themselves anyway and most especially for online gambling, and if we want to face the truth, staying in front of the PC and watching the computer automate its roll on dice while setting your strategy or playing poker online does not really bring any serious excitement compared to maybe when you are in a casino and there are people around. In this case, for a real casino, I could even look at the idea of being able to have fun, but online, that is big NO.
