No, it's a necessary measure because people like you are greedy and lazy and abuse things to benefit themselves financially. When something is free people take advantage of it and sadly people are free to create as many accounts as they want here just to abuse sig campaigns and bounties by spamming. You are a perfect example of why the merit system exists and you've only got yourself to blame because of it. You aren't interested in contributing to discussions here, you just want to rise through the ranks to earn money in the laziest way possible and will even cheat to achieve this:
I agree with you, but sometimes I get confused. At example, you wrote a great and quality post in detail, but it received no merit. At the same time, post below, where we write something like:" I fully agree with the opinion above, Bla Bla Bla, etc..." or any other set of words, repeating posts in the topic, only his/er own words, and this post get a merit, and me case it's a shame for my efforts.
