Ther is no sha-256 coin more profitable than btc.
Ofc, there is allways one failsafe way to earn more than mining BTC, and thats merged mining. Get some namecoins and others as well for free.
And there usually are others that are worth more, but that changes
pretty much daily. So only worth while if you switch very quickly before difficulty increases, have a pool with a low mininum and confirmation and get the coins quickly enough to an exchange...
I would sell the Jalapeno on ebay for app. 250 USD, buy Radeon 7950 instead and would start making 0.01 BTC per day from mining scrypt altcoins...
Not going to get 0.01BTC out of a 7950 anymore, about half that. Unless you go pool hopping ...
